Of new Music

So I've basically gone through a week in radio school. It's interesting enough. We did a demo tape yesterday, and we will get to hear each others tonight during the last class. One of the girls was asked to do a demo for class 95, so that was pretty cool. She's got the voice for it too.

Met the music director the other day and he was a really nice guy. Amazing the amount of stuff he knew, and you would think it since he is the Music director. But thats the great thing about music. I don't think anyone in this world can really claim to be an expert in music. Maybe a particular field, but not the entire genre. So because of that, there are things that I have heard that the music director never knew about. As well as some things that a fellow classmate from Ireland pointed out to me. Like a group called Kings of Convenience. I downloaded their stuff. And probably about 1/2 of what i downloaded is really good. Like really good. One of their songs was even mixed by Royskopp, one of my all time fave chill bands.

So you know its got to be good.

On other news, I did buy like 7 new albums, but the director took all my cd's. Yup, that picture in the last post... he took em all to copy LOL . So it's cool in a way. I'm gonna here songs on Lush that are from my collection. I even found out from him that my cousin DJ Flame sent him a demo, we listened to it, and it was way cool.

So that ends my update, no news on any jobs from Radioland. *Crossing fingers really hard* , although the class was interesting enough, being in the enviroment was definetly thrilling, and not because of the stars that you might encounter, it was the idea of working there with so much music in your hands. Funny it may sound.

We will see what happens in this last class.

VoDoX Gone Missing Explained!
Ok, ive been on like a ...month long hiatus. Why? well, lots call it lazy, and addicted. LOL.

Its been like the holidays. Crazy crazy, eat lots of food, get fat holidays. Adding to that jeff the restaurant buddy came back. And there was plenty more places to go eat when he came back ... ughhh. Then terence and cleaven came back , then karen came back. ( ok i admit i only met her once, but she's so popular it's impossible to reach her.) (++plus i dont have her handphone number++ EEP!)

So other than that hectic craziness, what have I been doing? WOW. Yes. WOW. World of warcraft. It has become an addiction. Must lvl, must train new spells. Must... yes.. omg. call me geek, call me nerd. call me technoslut. I care not, for I am a lvl 30 Undead warlock mwahahaha, and my rain of fire will douse out your negativity.

Also, playing in the backgroudn while I wow, or drive is a new radio station called Lush. Tune in to 99.5fm and your ears will be treated to sensual mix of nu-jazz, chillout and urban house. I listened to the transmission for a while, and decided to see if I could somehow work with them. Since you faithful ( few ) readers out there know my passion above almost all things is music. Music drives the soul yo.

So, after some talks with some people. Theres is perhaps a slim chance that I may be find a job in Mediacorp.
Just yesterday i started a 1 week course @ radio academy, where i hope to learn more about the radio as a medium and how it works internally ( on a basic level of course)

I realise if i can, i want to help with the music director, and thats what I'm about to do. Waiting for a call, and after that call, I might get a chance to meet the music director of Lush, i was told to bring the stuff i like. Hopefully, it will impress, if not I might have to rant on and on about things which I hope will impress. If not i might have to stick my head in a hole somewhere and cry.

I was even pushing the idea of a music blog out there to the mediacorp reps, hopefully it might bloom into something.
